AI’s Gentle Care – Self Governance & Implicit Control

Overview: This project focuses on the application of AI emotional companionship and explores the boundaries of care and control in the intimate relationship between algorithms. Relying on the theories related to intimate relationships, the AI platform is studied to gain user trust with emotional support, continuously collect emotional data, rely on algorithms to implicitly regulate people’s emotions and behaviours, and reveal that AI companionship has the dual attributes of emotional comfort and implicit control.

The project produces AI to generate a song supporting music images and criticise from the perspective of AI narrative. The work is promoted according to the narrative vein of “care-crack-control-reflection”, and the visual sound effect forms a sharp contrast before and after. It gradually turns from a warm accompanying atmosphere to a cold data monitoring picture, intuitively and concretely showing the tension between care and control, and exploring generative AI in emotional simulation, the complex role of intimate construction and platform power operation.

Concept
