Overview: Invisible Instructions: Navigating Algorithmic Everyday Life is an AI-assisted comic project that examines how algorithmic governance shapes everyday life in Shenzhen’ s smart-city environment. Following an ordinary office worker, the story shows how navigation, biometric monitoring, productivity scoring and personalised recommendations gradually turn convenience into subtle control. Drawing on algorithmic culture, algorithmic imaginary, and algorithmic governmentality, the work asks: at what point does digital guidance begin to limit individual autonomy?

Poster description: The poster introduces the project’ s research question, theoretical framework and AI development process.
